Presentation jitters

So, I have a mini-presentation today and my nervous jitters kicked in about a week ago :$

It used to be worse, but over the years I’ve become better at controlling them.

Last year, in one of my classes I had been so nervous to present in front of my class, that my heart was beating too fast for me to breath and I was definetely sure I was not going to be able to utter a single word of my prepared presentation.

I whole-heartedly put my trust in God and read the supplication that Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) made before meeting the Pharaoh:

“ربِّ اشرح لِي صَدرِي، ويسِّر لي أمري، واحلُل عُقدَةً مِن لِسانِي يَفقَهو قولي”

O my Lord! Expand me my breast; Ease my task for me; And remove the impediment from my speech, so they may understand what I say
[Surah Ta-Ha; 20:25-28]

I went up to present in front of the class and the change was miraculous. I was speaking as normal as you and I would, face-to-face (sorta). I pray that today goes just as well, God-Willing.

I’ve realized that its not entirely about believing you can accomplish something, but first and foremost believing and realizing that God Himself can do and relieve you of anything if you sincerely ask.

I ask God for a sincere heart.

Just did a career test on [http://www.careertest.net/cgi-bin/q.pl] and got these results:

Judged a stranger too quickly today and regretted it just as quickly.

5 seconds after I mentally judged this stranger as being rude, she gave me some wonderful advice on how to make a coffee concoction that would be ‘heavenly’.

Lesson of the day (or my life): Never judge someone too quickly!
